A Chicken Breakout {Please Welcome Carolyn Feathers the Third)

Hello everyone! Today I am showing you a photo shoot I did with my baby chicks, a month or two ago. Yes… I know. It sounds crazy. I took a photo shoot with my chickens… XDDD

It actually turned out pretty good though! Some of the photos are of chicks who got killed though :'(

I did this photo shoot when me and my siblings let out our chicks one day, after supper to play a bit outside their cage before we took them inside for the night.

Let’s get right into it! 🙂

Also I took these photos with my parents camera, a Canon t2i…

Hello little chicken! How are you doing this fine evening? 😉

This is the cage we kept them in during the day when they were little.

They stayed in this blue box during the night.

Random photo I took of our swing set chain 😉

And another one XD Which do you like better? Answer in the poll below!

Now this chick is on our swing! I’m so mean 😛 (just kidding)

I can’t decide if I like this one or not…. it’s kinda weird. Well the chick didn’t stay on the swing for long, soon it flapped its little wings and flew (kinda) down to the grass XD

Now the chicks are in the chicken run living with our other two older ones!

I don’t think this chick likes me XD

I was trying to get a picture of a chick in mid flight after it jumped off but… failed *single tear trickles down cheek*

I wonder what the chicks thought of the camera….

 Hopefully they didn’t mind!

Though looking at this picture, maybe they did XDD

I didn’t use the flash or anything though…

I’m running out of things to say about these chickens.

Do any of you have chickens?

Or chicks XD I like this photo!!

The grass is a good background for these chickens.

Here’s more chicks! In case you were wondering why there is so many branches on the ground it’s because an enormous branch in one of our trees was breaking and my dad cut it down. He was in the process of cutting it up.

Even though this photo is kinda blurry, I still like it! 🙂

NOW FOR THE FINAL PICTURE!

I saved the best for last!!!

AHAHAHAHA!!!!!  This little chick looks very annoyed/insulted! She’s looking down her nose… er beak at me! XD

It reminds me of those mean librarians you see in movies who pull their glasses down at look at the character over the tops of them XDD

Now for a mini interview…

Liz: What is your name?

Chicken: My name *ruffles feathers* is Carolyn Feathers the Third. *raises eyebrow*

Liz: Well now… uh Carolyn-

Carolyn: You may call me Miss Feathers.

Liz: Miss Feathers… *rolls eyes* I am Liz, by the way. Do you like the other chickens?

Carolyn: Yes, yes, they’re nice little ladies… *waves to the others and smiles at them*

Liz: Did you just smile?!

Carolyn: Why of course, they are my friends. Therefore I have the right to smile at them.

Liz: Well then, who is your favorite of that little bunch?

Carolyn: *looks outraged* Excuse me?? *splutters* Well, I… how dare you! How rude! *flaps her wings* *falls to the ground* *runs over to join the other chicks*

Liz: Well I guess that’s the end of this interview!

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Thanks for reading this post! 🙂

Did you enjoy this post? What was your favorite/least favorite photo? Have you ever interviewed a chicken? Do you have chickens or chicks? Should I interview more animals? What did you think of this post?

Talk to me!

  1. I’m not the only one who talks to pets/animals!! Is it just me, do the chickens’ eyes make the chickens look surprised/scared/crazy, it looks like they’re trying to hypnotize me *runs away from the chickens*
