Good morning everyone! 🙂 I’m very excited to be sharing this post today!

Awhile back, I hinted that something was happening… and I didn’t say what. (I have no idea what post that was… it might have been a What Is Happening In My Life? #5?)

But… my family’s big project right now is building a new house!!

Some of you already know this, but this is the first time I’m actually posting about it! 😉

These pictures are a few weeks old… we’ve made a lot more progress since they were taken!

So yes. My family has a 3 acre piece of land out in the country (it currently has a rental on it) and right now we’re building a house, studio, and shop! 😀

I really need to take some updated pictures. XD

 

This is mainly a family project. We’ll get outside help for some things (such as pouring the pad, building the shop, framing, etc. but it’s really fun to go out there and help my Dad and Grandpa work. 😀 (memories <3)

It’s going to be a strawbale house and one and one half stories tall. 🙂

What we’ve (by we’ve, I mainly mean mostly my Dad and Grandpa, but the rest of us have helped too! XD) done so far:

• build the forms
• dug the pad (for the house and studio)
• dug the interior trenches
• studied the plans a lot (it helped that my aunt used to be an architect. 😂)
• other stuff… (like shooting bows and arrows!)
• created an Instagram account! 😀 Check it out here! We need to get more pictures on there. 😛

The plans have been approved too!

Um, yeah. I will being doing these updates maybe once a month? Not exactly sure, but I will definitely be updating you guys! 😀
