Good morning everyone! Today’s another bookish post! 😀

I am doing the Ask a Reader tag that Charis created! She didn’t tag anyone so, but said feel free to do it, so here I go!! 😀

What sparked your love for reading?

Hm. Would it make sense if I said my parents? My parents constantly encouraged me to read (for which I thank them) and each night, my Dad read to me before I went to sleep.

So yes. I would say my parents 😉

 

Where do you get your books?

Lots of different places!! Mainly the library, as well as my personal/my family’s personal library, I borrow them from other people occasionally, and also from my computer! (alpha/beta reading and ARC’s)

And I do buy books too, though not very often! 😉  Actually I bought 7 books this past summer! 😛

 

Where do you read?

Anywhere and everywhere! 🙂 Though I prefer to do it either on the couch or in a chair or in my bedroom! 🙂

 

When do you read?

Whenever I can!!

 

What genres do you read?

Middle-grade fiction, some young-adult, mysteries, classics, and sometimes historical fiction and fantasy! Maybe some contemporary too… I don’t know, a lot of everything, I suppose! XD

 

 

What are your favorite childhood reads?

Boxcar Children!! The Mandie series!!! (I have all 40 books XD)

And I read a lot of American Girl Doll books too… (but didn’t every little girl?! XD)

And Mr. Popper’s Penguins. (that’s only one book, but still!) I read Trixie Belden too! 🙂

 

What are your favorite books?

I have many. Please don’t ask me this.

But some of my favorites are The Hiding Place, The Mother-Daughter Book Club series, I like the Penderwicks, um, The Hobbit, The Anne of Green Gables series, the Little Britches series, and several different books by Janette Oke! (mainly the Seasons of the Heart!)

 

Do you read fast or slow?

I think it’s more towards the slow side, but it depends on what book and whether or not I’m motivated to read. Sometimes when I’m relaxing, I just lazily read and usually that’s not very fast…

 

Do you set reading goals? What are they?

I do! My current goal is to read 100 books by the end of the year! (my Mom said she’d buy me a book if I did!) But I’m only at like 49. (not all are on Goodreads)

 

How do you track your reads?

I use Goodreads and I have this little green notebook I got for Christmas that I keep track in too!

 

Do you binge-read?

Not really. I actually read the books XDD

My sister skims books a lot of the times and it drives me crazy. 😛

 

 

Do you fall in love with characters?

Haha, no.

 

Do you buddy-read?

I do at my co-op with my classmates… if that counts. 😛

 

Do you re-read?

UM. YES!

And I have so so so so so so so so many books I need to re-read XD

 

What’s the best thing about being a reader?

There are endless possibilities for books you could read! 😀 (and plus it’s just awesome and fun!) 😀
